A Dream Wedding on the Northeast Coast

Living on the East Coast, specifically Northeast, has its own unique aesthetic. We’ve all heard of the “Cape Cod” style, or Nantucket chic, but take all of that plus the gorgeous rolling hills of a golf course right outside of the city and call it a dream wedding! It’s so easy to make this style basic and boring, but with the help of Alinato and our expert eye for design, Louise and James’ wedding dreams came true. With Louise’s family being a member at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club since before she was born, it was a no brainer that her dream wedding to her dream man would take place at such a central spot in her life.

Morning Preparations and Venue Magic

Louise spent her wedding morning getting ready with her closest friends and family at the gorgeous Castle Inn and Spa in Tarrytown NY with the amazing team at Beauty Icon. All the while, magic was starting to happen at the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club. With a chic sailcloth tent set up by Cartwright and Daughters Tent and Party Rentals being set up days prior, the florist and catering team were able to jump right into work on this sunny Saturday. The floral team from Flowers by Brian started on gorgeous high-low table centerpieces. For the round tables, a lush garden packed with candles, and for the kings table, a bridge of hydrangeas looked as if to float above the table. All with the color pallet of blues and white, sprinkled with some green and yellow elements. These sat on tables with a textured linen, adding a level of dimension that would be lost without it, gold and white flatware, and a glistening golden water goblet. With the help of Broadway Rentals, we were able to bring this dreamy vision to life with a fresh lens! What we love most about working with couples on design, is when they lean into the idea of something different! We have seen a lot of floral arches this year, and although beautiful, it’s a bit tired. Louise and James opted for huge, lush urns of hydrangeas, blue delphiniums, and white snapdragons. It was the perfect elegant touch for this timeless couple!

A Heartwarming First Look and Ceremony

The day continued and as we worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect, every fork was in its place, every flower had its moment, Louise and James met in the front of the clubhouse for their first look. One of our favorite moments to look back on, James was nothing short of in awe of his beautiful bride. This moment was captured by husband and wife duo, The Reeses. Not only did they capture the day on two cameras, but they also surprised the couple with drone footage of their ceremony and reception! Louise, escorted by both her parents, were played down the aisle by Impulse Strings, as the sun broke from behind the afternoon clouds. Following ceremony and cocktail hour, the guests were invited to dine under the lights of the tent. After hearing the tear-jerking speeches from James’ brother and Louise’s best friend, its clear that this couples love will go the distance and we were so happy to be a part of it!

A Night of Celebration and Dancing

Soon after dinner, the couple cut the cake – or should I say cakes! Bedford Village Bakery created two unique cakes, one for the bride and one for the groom. This is a trend we have been seeing quite a bit this summer, and we are huge fans of all the cake. Guests were soon escorted inside the club house, where DJ Dayna was already starting the vibe off strong with dancefloor lighting and speakers blasting! The couple shared their choreographed, very impressive, first dance surrounded by their loved ones and it was the perfect thing to get everyone on that dancefloor! Louise and James danced the night away, celebrating the vows they just made, at an upstate oasis.
