december wedding couple

In the crisp air of December, amidst the winter charm of New York City, Sharon and Ritchie embarked on a magical journey as they exchanged vows at The Foundry. Their winter wedding was a celebration of love, warmth, and unique touches that made it an unforgettable affair, complete of course with the presence of their beloved dogs.

The Foundry, an industrial chic venue in the heart of Long Island City, served as the perfect backdrop for Sharon and Ritchie’s love story. The exposed brick walls and rustic ambiance provided a romantic setting for their December nuptials. The couple fell in love with the venue’s character, and it became the canvas for a wedding that would be a blend of vintage charm and modern elegance. Sharon and Ritchie embraced the winter season, transforming The Foundry into a winter wonderland. Soft candlelight, hanging twinkling lights, and seasonal decorations adorned the venue, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Lemondy NYC had Sharon looking and feeling her beautiful, most confident self, and absolutely stunned Ritchie during their first look. Rebecca Ou Photography captured this beautiful moment, followed by a fun sequence of couple and family portraits.  Thanks to FilmCars, Sharon and Ritchie had an iconic piece of New York as a part of their New York Winter Wedding.

Just before sunset, guests started to arrive at the Foundry dressed in their holiday best, to witness the nuptials of this beautiful couple. A Lily Among Thorns had worked tirelessly to transform the space into a subtle winter wonderland, not too much in your face “winter”, but perfect and timeless. The aisle and altar were adorned with gorgeous white blooms and greenery for Sharon to walk down, played down to the tune of Impulse Strings. The long family style rectangular tables were decorated with a soft candlelight, and large vases filled with branches draped in crystal with floating candles. It was so uniquely breathtaking; we cannot get enough of these photos! The intimate details of the day were also thoughtfully captured by James Liu Films, whose filming style perfectly fit with the vibe of this couple. The most memorable part of the décor for guests was the impressive hanging twinkly lights from ULS NYC, which by itself transformed the venue into a romantic cozy party!

Sharon and Ritchie really lucked out in the friend lottery, as their friends put together a slideshow of the couple’s entire life and love story that left everyone feeling the feels. To get everyone to celebrate the love in the room, DJ Tina Romero got everyone, young and old, on their feet and it was an absolute blast! In the spirit of being uniquely untraditional, Sharon and Ritchie opted for a Laudree Macaroon tower in place of a wedding cake and this is becoming our new favorite (delicious) trend. Guests were able to take not only these macaroons, but also photos from Flux photobooth as mementos to remember the day by.

Sharon and Ritchie’s winter wedding at The Foundry was a celebration of love, warmth, and the beauty of the season. The carefully chosen details, the charming venue, and the love that filled the air made it an unforgettable day for the couple and their guests. With the winter chill outside, inside The Foundry, hearts were warmed by the magic of Sharon and Ritchie’s love, proving that winter weddings are truly a special and enchanting affair. Thank you to this gorgeous couple for inviting us at Alinato to be a part of this magical day!
