Seminary Hill Orchard and Cidery is a little gem in the Callicoon NY with a rich history and beautiful property, where Janivean and Syed hosted their family and friends with an out-of-city wedding. Janivean and Syed exchanged their vows in a dandelion field, under the most beautifully decorated arch by Floral Designs by Sofie, with the rolling mountains of New York as their backdrop on the perfect sunny day. The boho bride Janivean was effortlessly made-up by She’s one of A Kind, with a romantic and free-spirited look incorporating her Filipino heritage with her dress, along with Syed’s white barong.
Celebrating with Food, Drink, and Dancing
The bohemian ethos extends to the culinary experience, with upstate NY’s abundance of local farms and artisanal producers, this offers an opportunity to curate a farm-to-table feast for everyone. Joe Taylor’s Catering did an incredible job of embracing the seasonality of the region by incorporating fresh, organic ingredients into the menu. Craft signature cocktails using local spirits, beer, and wine – adding a touch of bohemian whimsy to your beverage selection. There was even a bonfire with s’mores! The dancefloor was lit up by James Mulry, with the couple doing an amazing group dance to the currently popular Duke & Jones’ “My Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle” that had everyone smiling ear to ear. Janivean and Syed encouraged their guests to let loose and dance under the starry Upstate sky, creating an atmosphere of joy and free-spirited celebration. Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without the amazingly talented husband and wife duo Megan and Kenneth to capture the day on video and photo. The guests were sent home with photobooth photos of them and their closest friends being as goofy, or posed as they could be courtesy of the cutest Metro Photobooth Bus.
